Color, an audio postproduction company, came about naturally as the next step for two experienced engineers. Kevin Halpin and Josh Abbey, senior mixers and founding partners, were well known free-lancers in the major music worlds of labels and advertising. They recorded and mixed music for hundreds of albums and thousands of commercials. Both began their careers in the wild and exciting NYC music session world, which sadly began to evaporate over recent time with the advent of the digital world. Longing for the collaborative, group creative atmosphere that had defined the music and recording studio businesses is what prompted their decision to open an audio post company. In the post mix world, we can maintain personal contact with our clients while enjoying an atmosphere where our collective creative energies can still flow. With that notion in mind we designed and built a beautiful, client friendly space, recognizing the need to maximize the mix experience. 
     Jeff Rosner, the third partner who was responsible for starting two of the more respected original music companies in the business, JSM and Sacred Noise, wanted a different kind of challenge. He saw this as a way to maintain his contacts with the advertising community, incorporate all the elements of our previous experiences, and in a specific way, enhance the creative process.
